Excerpts from the 1969 Yearbook
The 1969 yearbook was a little unusual (well, not that unusual for
Hawthorne!) in that it was never actually published, though it did
circulate in the form of photocopied pages. Peter Banner has
scanned some pictures from the photocopies,
which can now be viewed as an album. (Peter's other albums have moved to our 501 I Street pictures, since they cover 1968 through 1971.)
If you are able to identify any of the anonymous people in the
photographs, please send an e-mail to the address below mentioning the
title of the photograph and the name of the person; we will update the
captions accordingly.
Any other reminiscences about the 1968-1969 school year or the 501 I Street era would also be
welcome.
Thanks to Maury Ringel, Betsy Seidman, Tom Slavin, Jennifer Woods, Lorraine Van Buren, Richard Gardner, and Phil Legg for help with identifications so far.
